Tell Congress: Increase Fuel Economy Standards
Getting more MPG from our vehicles is the biggest single step we can take to reduce carbon emissions, cut air pollution, and stop supporting anti-democratic regimes abroad. Tell the Senate: End the Occupation; Support the Feingold-Reid Legislation
In response to President Bush's promised threat of supplemental appropriations for the ongoing occupation of Iraq, Senators Feingold and Reid have now drafted legislation that will effectively end the current military mission in Iraq and begin the redeployment of U.S. forces.
Their bill requires the President to begin safely redeploying U.S. troops from Iraq 120 days from enactment, as required by the emergency supplemental spending bill the Senate recently passed. The bill ends funding for the war, with three narrow exceptions, effective March 31, 2008.

Impeach Attorney General Alberto Gonzales
As Attorney General, Alberto Gonzales is entrusted with defending the constitution and acting as the top enforcer of our nation's laws. Gonzales, however, has not risen to the challenge of his appointment and as a result betrayed the public trust. Again and again, Gonzales has demonstrated that he is more loyal to partisans within the Bush administration rather than to his duties as America's chief law enforcement officer. He should be impeached and forced to testify under oath.

Tell Congress: Supplemental Funding ONLY for a Safe Withdrawal From Iraq
If Congress really wants to "support the troops," they must now stand up to the President who misled us into the invasion and occupation of Iraq -- and force him to bring the troops home. Nonbinding resolutions clearly won't accomplish this task, so it's now time for Congress to use their power of the purse.

Save our Climate, Support the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act
Senators Boxer (D-CA) and Sanders (I-VT) have just introduced the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act of 2007. This legislation will achieve 80 percent emission reductions (from 1990 levels) by 2050, and provides strong incentives for renewable energy development. This bill deserves our support.

It's clear from testimony in the Scooter Libby trial that Libby "outed" CIA operative Valerie Plame on instructions from Vice President Dick Cheney. This represents a crime of treason against our nation; Cheney must be impeached immediately.

Tell Congress: Restore Habeas Corpus
Last September, Congress passed the Military Commissions Act of 2006 (MCA) which restricted habeas corpus rights, allowing the government to continue holding prisoners at Guantanamo indefinitely with no access to a fair hearing in court. Indefinite imprisonment without a fair trial or hearing is fundamentally un-American. Habeas Corpus must be restored now.
