The cable contract for Columbia MO (and many other cities) is under renewal and now is the time to make our voices heard by the City council and City Manager that money from the access fees of Cable companies be used to support community access TV, community Radio and cheap high speed Internet access. The Cable companies have enormous profit margins... Columbia should use the percentage, being negotiated at present, to open a facility for Community access Media and otherwise support the free flow of information.
